A friendly reminder before the updates...

You are NOT allowed to make copies of our products! We have never given permission for anyone to make a mold off any of our products. We hand sculpt everything we offer, and it is ours, not free for the world to reproduce for their own gain. We don't even give permission of people to make molds off of them to use for "personal projects", as that's the same, especially when you start using said personal projects for commissions. That's still making gain off of our hard work, and very unethical and rude. This includes head blanks, claws, jawsets, noses, or anything else we offer in our webstore, past or present.

Back to our updates!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Happy Halloween everyone! We're very sorry that some people did not get their orders before Halloween but we did try to warn that 3 weeks were required for all orders; we've been WAY too busy for any rush orders. Fortunately now that the rush has subsided we should be able to take rush orders again, as long as we don't get bombarded with them! Most orders are going out within 2 weeks now, however we still ask you give us 3 to be on the safe side. Last thing we want to do is promise something and not be able to keep it.

Other exciting news: We've officially moved into our own building! The garage was just...ridiculously crowded. This means we also won't be working where we live, so we may be able to separate our home and work lives now. *gasp* I am still remaining at the house to do all silicone work as well as anything shipping/email-wise. I can't really be around fumes and such, and hate wearing a respirator for 8 hours straight lol.

I've posted up a bunch of new faulty items in the etsy store: www.etsy.com/shop/DreamVisionC… We're also having a sale on all of our grabbag claws; so you get 50 for just $20, where they are normally $1 each; so you essentially get 30 claws for free. x3 Most of the claws really aren't that bad, either. A bit of paint or sanding makes them perfectly good enough to use on practice projects or premades.

If you missed the news before, we are going to be attending MFF this year. We're going to focus on items that aren't as commonly found, so things like ear blanks, foam hooves, cloppers, toes, horns and of course our resin blank kits. There are a lot of people doing pawpads and claws and such now, so it's best to focus on things that people can't buy everywhere. That, and it helps us to focus on what we can in such short time frames.  We'll still take some claws/pawpads/noses/jawsets/etc and such, but we're not focusing on those items, since they can be found with other makers too.

We've started teaching our helpers more things off of our own lists for orders, so that way we can focus on other areas. Mono has a few heads in the works for commissions she's going to be busting out soon, and then once those are done she's going to be hitting the sculpting/molds hard. This means lots of new products in the works, and hopefully lots of new products for this upcoming year! Don't ask us what; we have had this ongoing list of things we've been wanting to produce since we started out, and over the years it's just kept growing! She has a few projects already started, and we'll also be going through a lot of older products and refining them to live up to our newer standards. A lot of trial and error has happened over the last 2-3 years which has helped us come out with better molds and therefore better products. Unfortunately some of our older products are still using older molds, so they aren't as pretty as the newer stuff. We hope to get that fixed, so that everything is on the same page. :D

As always if you have any questions or concerns feel free to e-mail us. I check them every day (weekends are iffy) so you should get an answer fairly quickly. Remember construction questions go to Mono directly :iconmonoyasha: there, not here. :) She doesn't answer as often, but she is much better at giving that sort of advice than me lol. We also plan to expand out tutorial selection, but this too just requires us to have a little more time on our hands, and right now it's just a busy time.

We appreciate your guys' support and patience through everything~!
Adding Large Eyes to our resin blanks by DreamVisionCreations
Adding Large Eyes to our resin blanks
So our resin blanks are designed for 3.8cm 3D eyes normally, however from time to time people want to add larger eyes for one reason or another. Maybe the critter naturally has big eyes like a rabbit. Or maybe they want to do toony eyes with the mesh rather than the resin eyes. Or perhaps they want just big cute eyes for that extra "Awwww" effect.

This is just a tiny mini tutorial on how we do it, while still incorporating tear duct vision into the mask.

In the first picture, the one on the top left, you see how it's normally done. The base for the resin eye, and the tear duct. On the opposite eye, you see how we cut the entire eye away, including some of the eye ridge. This gives plenty of space for us to add those 2" eyes now.

The 2nd picture shows how it should look from the side. If you are not using tearduct vision and instead just want to use mesh, you should leave the tearduct area in tact, and not remove it at all. Just cut away the entire eye area instead (Example not by us: Mryia Head Progress Shots) So you have the big round area, but that's it. That's where you'd add your mesh, and that would be your viewing zone.

The 3rd and 4th picture show what the vision would be like with the 2" eyes in place. You still have a good sized tearduct viewing area, so the eye didn't hinder anything. You lose some of the underside of the eye ridge, but once you have eyelids and fur applied, it won't look any different.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact :iconmonoyasha: directly with your CONSTRUCTION questions. Any questions about the store, or items we sell should be directed here, but if you're unsure of how to make/build something, please message her with your questions. She takes a little longer to answer since she doesn't check every day, but you'll get a better answer than from me I promise lol.

Won't really be conducted through journals anymore. It's getting busier around here, so it's just easier for me to pretty much make it automated.

So from now on unless it's a special occasion, I'll be putting all of our faulty/discounted items here: www.etsy.com/shop/DreamVisionC…

So if you're ever wondering what we have on sale, please check there. :) I'm in the process of adding a bunch of stuff now, so be sure to check throughout the day. ^-^
Emolga is back up for sale! If you were wanting an adorable suit for Halloween for future conventions, this would be perfect for you! Fullsuit only worn a few times, and is in excellent condition. They tend to draw HUGE crowds at cons, and everywhere you go all you hear is AWWWW. (Trust me, we know from experience.)

Emolga: www.etsy.com/listing/204687840…

We dropped the prices on it from last time we were trying to sell it; we had decided against it so we could keep them (they're just so cute @_@) but we find it so hard to get anywhere to actually use them, and don't want them collecting dust. So to help get them homes faster they're going for super cheap! (Much less expensive than a custom head commission...)

Orders are a bit backed up right now with the addition of skull blanks, so our normal wait times are back; meaning all orders will be shipped out within 2-3 weeks of being ordered. You'll still get e-mail updates when your orders ship with the tracking numbers included.

It's Halloween season here, so things are kind of crazy; we won't be allowing any rush orders from now until further notice (when our orders die down we'll allow them again) so please be sure to order with plenty of time! That means 3 weeks in advance for when you'll actually need the item! I can't stress this to you guys enough.

Single curl ram horns are now back in the webstore, however double curl still have to have their mold remade. We were going to get a new skull out for Halloween this year but with all of the crazy stuff happening, it just didn't happen. Sorry guys! It'll eventually come out, we just don't have a projected date. (This is why we don't take preorders!)

As far as we know the skulls will stay in the webstore until we can't possibly keep them there. That means don't freak out worrying that they'll suddenly disappear. If they do temporarily come out it will be just so Mono can catch up on her lists and then they'd go back in.

Upcoming projects to be finished by November:
Scout ferret head
Refurbished Cloud Fennec's head

We will be dealing at MFF this year, so keep that in mind! It's going to be super insane here around that time, since we plan to have family over for Thanksgiving, and then right after is the drive up to Chicago for the con, all the while having our workers here to be making things for the convention as well as keeping up with orders. Updates will probably be scarce, but I'll do my best to keep things running smoothly.

We thank each and every one of you for your patience and support through the busy and crazy times!
Just letting you guys know the coupon code for our etsy shop ends tomorrow, so if you're wanting to use it, better get in on it quick!

there aren't too many stretchy scaled furs out there really. And working with scaled fabric that isn't stretchy is a nightmare. :/ All the dragons we've done have been done with super short furs, since we hadn't been able to find real good scaled furs, sadly.
