Like if I wanted to use it in a sculpture made to live outdoors permanently. Protections against weather, UV, snow/ice, that sort of thing. I've used normal taxidermy eyes and they seem to work well so far.
Rain yes, snow maybe, and ice we can't guarantee anything. We seal the backs of them with outdoor paint, but they are hand painted. If they're left exposed, there's bound to be some damage over a long period of time. The resin would be just fine, but they would do best outdoors if painted with automotive paint, since that is meant to withstand the elements.
